Design

During my study, I have created several content for different purposes. Therefore I mainly used Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. First of all, the main graphic content that I have created for my studies will be shown. Later, the content created in my spare time will also appear.

1. Education

Minor

In the last year of my study Communication & Multimediadesign, I followed the minor ‘designing for a new world’. For this minor, I had to find a way to make an impact in the world. I focused on the subject of 'rare cancers'. During my internship at the Marikenhuis, a walk-in centre for people affected by cancer, I had already heard about this type of condition and it immediately fascinated me. These patients with a rare form of cancer all suffered because of the rarity of their disease. As a result, the survival rate of patients with a rare form of cancer is on average 15% lower than that of patients with a more common cancer. This got me thinking…

2. Spare time

I also spend a lot of time creating various types of content in my spare time. This varies from making flyers to designing a website. First of all I will discuss the flyers that I have made recently.

Flyers

As previously described I make all kinds of flyers and brochures for several years now.  After I completed my internship at the Marikenhuis, I still had a lot of contact with some employees of the walk-in centre. Then an employee of the Marikenhuis asked me to make a flyer for the LEF! campaign. The theme interested me, so I went along with it. With this campaign, the Marikenhuis wants to appeal to youngsters (from 12-18 years) to participate in all kinds of activities to share feelings and experiences with each other. These youngsters are (ex) cancer patients themselves or have, for example, a family member who has or has had cancer. The flyer that was eventually delivered can be seen below:

I also created several flyers to sell through Fiverr. This is an online marketplace for freelance services. Below are some flyers that I used on my Fiverr account. I also added a call-to-action that navigates to my Fiver account.
